hey y'all! there used to be a show on tv called American Dreams about families living in the 60s, and it was one of my favorite shows. i just now heard the full theme song to it (i loved the short version too! i danced along with it every week and i got all happy), with all of the lyrics, and it sounds so indigo-y, i can't help but post it! i'm so proud! haha
My Generation
By Emerson Hart
for the show American Dreams
You're coming up like a flower
You're comin up through the cracks that live 'round here
Everybody knows we have no fear
We are the wind of change coming
We'll take a stand where so many never go
We will shout it out to let you know
This is my generation
We want an answer to the questions
We want to knock down all the walls they built for you
We want to know the Truth, not be that too
We want to know the face of Freedom
We want to make a place that we can learn to love
Build a world that we can be proud of
This is my generation
Cause we just wanna dance all night
Live inside the Spark of Life
This might be the only time around
Cause we just wanna dance all night
Live inside the Spark of Life
This might be the only time around
You're comin up like a flower
You're comin' up through the cracks that live 'round here
Cause everybody knows we have no fear
This is my generation
ahhhh, i love it! heehee! i'm so glad i got to share it and write it out for you guys! if anybody wants to hear the song, just e-mail me and i can find a way to send it to you. it's so worth sharing, especially if you're an indigo ... i have some indigo in me though for sure, so this song really resonates with me. plus the singer is the lead singer of this band called Tonic and i just love music and this song!
peace, love, and the indigo spirit,
Eva

Thu, May 15, 2008 - 11:55 PMHey, don't write yourself off yet
It's only in your head you feel left out
Or looked down on
Just try your best, try everything you can
And don't you worry what they tell themselves
When you're away.
It just takes some time, little girl in the middle of the ride (over, and over)
Everything, everything will be just fine (over, and over)
Everything, everything it'll be alright (alright)
Hey, you know they're all the same
You know you're doing better on your own (on your own)
So don't buy in.
Live right now
Yeah, just be yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's good enough
For someone else
It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride (over, and over)
Everthing, everything it'll be just fine (over, and over)
Everything, everything it'll be alright (alright)
It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride (over, and over)
Everything, everything it'll be just fine (over, and over)
Everything, everything it'll be alright (alright)
Hey, don't write yourself off yet
It's only in your head you feel left out
Or looked down on
Just do your best, do everything you can.
And don't you worry what the bitter hearts, are gonna say
It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride (over, and over)
Everything, everything it'll be just fine (over, and over)
Everything, everything it'll be alright (alright).
It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride (over, and over)
Everything, everything It'll be just fine (over, and over)
Everything, everything it'll be alright (alright)

Re: the ultimate indigo song :)
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 11:58 PMSomebody once told me the world is gonna roll me
I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed
She was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb
In the shape of an "L" on her forehead
Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Back to the rule and I hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb
So much to do so much to see
So what's wrong with taking the back streets
You'll never know if you don't go
You'll never shine if you don't glow
[Chorus:]
Hey now you're an All Star get your game on, go play
Hey now you're a Rock Star get the show on get paid
And all that glitters is gold
Only shooting stars break the mold
It's a cool place and they say it gets colder
You're bundled up now but wait 'til you get older
But the meteor men beg to differ
Judging by the hole in the satellite picture
The ice we skate is getting pretty thin
The waters getting warm so you might as well swim
My world's on fire how about yours
That's the way I like it and I never get bored
[Repeat Chorus 2x]
Somebody once asked could I spare some change for gas
I need to get myself away from this place
I said yep what a concept
I could use a little fuel myself
And we could all use a little change
Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Back to the rule and I hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb
So much to do so much to see
So what's wrong with taking the back streets
You'll never know if you don't go
You'll never shine if you don't glow
[Repeat Chorus]

Re: the ultimate indigo song :)
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 12:06 AMIt's been one week since you looked at me
Cocked your head to the side and said "I'm angry"
Five days since you laughed at me saying
"Get that together come back and see me"
Three days since the living room
I realized it's all my fault, but couldn't tell you
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
but it'll still be two days till I say I'm sorry
Hold it now and watch the hoodwink
As I make you stop, think
You'll think you're looking at Aquaman
I summon fish to the dish, although I like the Chalet Swiss
I like the sushi
'cause it's never touched a frying pan
Hot like wasabe when I bust rhymes
Big like LeAnn Rimes
Because I'm all about value
Bert Kaempfert's got the mad hits
You try to match wits, you try to hold me but I bust through
Gonna make a break and take a fake
I'd like a stinkin achin shake
I like vanilla, it's the finest of the flavours
Gotta see the show, cause then you'll know
The vertigo is gonna grow
Cause it's so dangerous,
you'll have to sign a waiver
How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad
Trying hard not to smile though I feel bad
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral
Can't understand what I mean?
Well, you soon will
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve
I have a history of taking off my shirt
It's been one week since you looked at me
Threw your arms in the air
and said "You're crazy"
Five days since you tackled me
I've still got the rug burns on both my knees
It's been three days since the afternoon
You realized it's not my fault
not a moment too soon
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
And now I sit back and wait til you say you're sorry
Chickity China the Chinese chicken
You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'
Watchin' X-Files with no lights on
We're dans la maison
I hope the Smoking Man's in this one
Like Harrison Ford I'm getting frantic
Like Sting I'm tantric
Like Snickers, guaranteed to satisfy
Like Kurasawa I make mad films
Okay, I don't make films
But if I did they'd have a Samurai
Gonna get a set a' better clubs
Gonna find the kind with tiny nubs
Just so my irons aren't always flying off the back-swing
Gotta get in tune with Sailor Moon
'Cause the cartoon has got the boom anime babes
That make me think the wrong thing
How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad
Tryin' hard not to smile though I feel bad
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral
Can't understand what I mean?
Well, you soon will
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve
I have a history of losing my shirt
It's been one week since you looked at me
Dropped your arms to your sides
and said "I'm sorry"
Five days since I laughed at you and said
"You just did just what I thought you were gonna do"
Three days since the living room
We realized we're both to blame,
but what could we do?
Yesterday you just smiled at me
Cause it'll still be two days till we say we're sorry
It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry
It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry

Re: the ultimate indigo song :)
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 6:11 AMMaynard James Keenan of Tool has new project "Puscifer"
On the New Album which doesn't have a family friendly name, there's a song "The Indigo Children"
E.M.P. from the mother and son
tore the digital down
dawn of the age of the innocent ones
the indigo children
the indigo children come (x8)
when the indigo children come(x4)
E.M.P. from the mother and son
tore the digital down
dawn of the age of the innocent ones
the indigo children
analog time piece sky wide
sync to the ticker inside
move to the rhythm of the moon and tide
the indigo children (x4)
Sirius, Venus. and the lunar child
(get your life up untied)
giggle and the flames grow higher
dance in a circle around a central fire
(dance and laugh and love and learn. Grow higher)
the indigo children
wine, song, food and fire
clothe, shelter and seed
no more need for the old empire
when the indigo children come
Sirius, Venus, and the lunar child
giggle and the flames grow higher
dance in a circle around a central fire
the indigo children
wine, song, food and fire
clothe, shelter and seed
no more need for the old empire(fare thee well to the empire)
when the indigo children come
the indigo children come
the indigo children
when the indigo children come (x4)
Sirius, Venus, and the lunar child
giggle and the flames grow higher
dance in a circle around a central fire
when the indigo children come
wine, song, food and fire
clothe, shelter and seed
no more need for the old empire
when the indigo children come
the indigo children come X13
the indigo children X13
